Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin have thrown in the towel.
The previous co-stars have gone their different routes after about four years of dating, ET has learned.

Wesley, 34, and Tonkin, 27, who were most recently seen in broad daylight together on Dec. 20, initially met on the arrangement of The Vampire Diaries in 2012, and began dating the accompanying summer. Tonkin had a repeating part on the fourth period of the CW hit, before her character joined The Originals turn off in 2013.
"They are still great companions. The relationship just ran its course," a source tells E! News, who was first to break the news.
ET has connected with Wesley and Tonkin's reps for input.
Wesley addressed ET about offering his first scene to Tonkin on The Vampire Diaries a year ago, depicting the experience as "cool" and "decent."

"It was insane, I had never worked with her. It was extremely clever, we discussed it, yet we truly never practiced [the scene] or ran it. We just stated, 'How about we do what needs to be done when we get the opportunity to set,' on the grounds that else it would simply be cumbersome, and it was cool. It really wasn't at all piece awkward or clumsy," he reviewed. "It was quite recently sort of like we simply did it and we were both in it and we both focused on it. It was decent, it was amusing."
