BEIJING: China today said it has an "open state of mind" to India joining the $46 billion monetary passage yet it needs to know New Delhi's reaction to a top Pakistani armed force general's offer to take part in the venture.
"I ponder what is India's interpretation of this whether this is a decent sign from Pakistan," outside service representative Hua Chunying said when asked in regards to Pakistan Southern Command leader Lt Gen Amir Riaz's comments that India ought to join the CPEC alongside Iran, Afghanistan and other Central Asian nations and make the most of its advantages.
"On China's part, the CEPC is a collaboration structure and we trust this program can serve the enthusiasm of Pakistan as well as Asia and the area all in all," Hua said.
She said CEPC is an essential piece of China's One-Belt and One-Road (OBOR) otherwise called new Silk Road extend.
"It is an open proposition and we will work with Pakistan to examine the cooperation of any third nation under rule of more extensive counsel and joint commitment," she said.
Asked whether Pakistan has talked about India's cooperation with China, Hua said "as (whether) China has consulted with Pakistan on this, I have nothing to offer".
